JUNNY BLANC EUROPE TOUR 2023 WITH GUEST DJ MINJEONG

This is not the first (nor the last!) time that Junny comes to Europe and France (he will be in Barcelona next 2nd of July for the Bubble Pop Fest).

Always in duo with DJ MINJEONG from MAUV Company, JUNNY is finishing a 15-dates tour in Europe! We were able to cover the Parisian Show (@La Bellevilloise), as well as manage the Meet & Greet, where we can salute the audience who were disciplined and more than pleasant!

So, how did it go? How did Junny and DJ MINJEONG perform during this last concert of the tour?

La Belleviloise : The Venue

La Bellevilloise is a historic venue located in the Ménilmontant neighborhood of Paris. With a maximum capacity of around 600 seats, the venue features a cloakroom, a long bar, and some charming, aged armchairs scattered throughout the room. The stage, slightly elevated, is perfect for a solo artist or a duo at most. DJ MINJEONG's turntable taking up a prominent spot on stage, still allowing JUNNY to move from one end of the stage to the other. The sound system was decent, as I witnessed during the soundcheck, with JUNNY and the technicians having adapted it to the best of their ability. Lighting effects were also present, with predominant colors of blue and red, although the lighting could be dark at times, it did not hinder the appreciation of the performance. There was no screen, as DJ MINJEONG performed behind JUNNY, but its absence was not missed.

Let's the show begin !

Before the concert, a Meet & Greet was organized where lucky ticket holders had the opportunity to meet JUNNY, take a photo, chat for a few moments, and leave with a signed album.

The concert started on time, with the venue filled to about 75% capacity, almost 400 fans were present for the last show of the tour! For 30 minutes, DJ MINJEONG mixed to set the atmosphere in the venue. The mix included international hits as well as Korean tunes, keeping the crowd energized! Then, JUNNY took the stage as scheduled and started with one of his most popular songs: "COLOR ME" (featuring CHUNG HA), and "OBVIOUS". JUNNY, who is not shy when it comes to interacting with the audience, stopped and had conversations with the crowd. There was no language barrier, as he effortlessly communicated in his native English, conveying his emotions. He continued with "AURA" and "FAME", then paused again to chat, before performing his latest single, which he described as a "musical turn", a collaboration with BLASE called "Optimist". He followed with "EARLY" before pausing again.

2ND PART

JUNNY is truly generous in his interactions (or fan-service), and the audience reciprocates the same. He is amazed by the crowd that has come to see him. Later, he confesses that his dream is to sing in stadiums! He performs "Nostalgia", takes a little break, and sings "BY MY SIDE". Surprisingly, JUNNY stops again and engages in more conversations (the flow is so natural that the pauses are welcomed, and fans want to know even more - anecdotes, sensations, spoilers about his career!). He performs the trio of songs "MOVIE", "SOBER", and "SOLO" before taking another break. JUNNY has received gifts from fans, including LEGO, flowers, drawings, and a PSG jersey with his birthdate and stage name printed on it! He promptly puts it on and wears it until the end of the concert.

3RD PART

A notable success was the project of a flag by the fanbase and fans, and JUNNY was touched by it, wearing it during part of the concert finale! JUNNY continues with "DISTANCE" and "TRUE", followed by "SAY". There is a new interaction where he sings whatever the audience desires! As the end of the concert approaches, he gives his all with "Get Ya!" and "OH!". And as a symbolic gesture, after one last heartfelt discussion with the fans, he finishes with "THANK YOU!"

ENCORE

There was no official encore, but at the end of the concert, JUNNY and DJ MINJEONG stayed for a good half hour to take selfies and give autographs! It was an exceptional moment from them! It's worth noting that the audience behaved very well, without any disruptions. Kudos to JUNNY, DJ MINJEONG, and the audience!

CONCLUSION

JUNNY is a multifaceted artist, with a diverse musical style ranging from R'n'B to ballads to pop, as well as his collaborations and compositions (having worked with artists from SM Entertainment such as NCT or Suho). He truly gives his all as a performer. Tonight, we witnessed a accomplished artist connecting with his audience and showcasing undeniable talent! The set-list was fantastic, and the venue was well-utilized, creating an intimate concert experience. We were treated to an excellent performance! DJ MINJEONG was also outstanding, providing great support throughout the concert and showing a strong chemistry and synergy with JUNNY. We can't get enough of them, and we hope to see them back in France soon!
